In previous versions of Code-X Desktop (PC/Mac) Version there were 3 Activations available and now in version 2018/2019 there's only 1 Activation. Why did this change?
First of all, it is important to understand that Activations were never supposed to be equated with Licenses. Many customers got confused and thought that they were the same. The licensing model for Code-X 2018 and 2019 have not changed from previous versions. The
Code-X Desktop (PC/Mac) version has always been a single user licensed
application. What has changed from previous years is the number of
activations allowed for the single user license. In versions before 2018 we allowed 3
activations and this year we now only allow 1. The additional 2
activations were previously available for the convenience of the single
user to activate Code-X on a traveling laptop, home workstation, office
workstation and/or a different office location. They were not supposed to be used to activate additional
users. The main reason the number of activations was reduced from 3 to 1 in version 2018 was because of the aforementioned confusion.
