If you attempt to login to the Code-X Web Application for the first time you may get the message that "You are not a subscriber" and are not able to login. There are a few reasons why this may occur. If this is not the first time you have logged into Code-X and, previously, you were able to login and use Code-X then please reference Reason 4 below for more details.
Here's a list of possible reasons:
Reason 1: You have not been assigned a User and/or Role Manager role by your Code-X subscription's Role Manager or account owner
The main reason you might get the above message is that, although you have a valid AAOS account/profile setup, you don't have a valid account setup in Code-X. If you are not the owner of a Code-X Web subscription, then the account owner or a user designated as a Role Manager for the account, must assign you a User and/or Role Manager before you have access to Code-X. Role Managers assign roles to their users by using the Role Management function in Code-X and enter the email address of the user that is being assigned the role. Please confirm with the account owner or a Role Manager to determine whether you have been assigned a User and/or Role Manager role. If the email address is indeed different
do not change the email address for your current AAOS Account. Instead, please
create a new AAOS Account/Profile with the correct email address.
If you just update your email address in your current AAOS
Account/Profile you still will not be able to login. This is because
Code-X has already created an account for your current AAOS Account with
the incorrect email address and that cannot be overridden. If you have
already updated your email address for the current AAOS
Account/Profile, then you will need to
submit a trouble ticket to
request that your current Code-X account be removed so that you can
login again with the same AAOS Account which now has the correct email
address.
Reason 2: Your Code-X subscription's Role Manager or account owner assigned a User and/or Role Manager role to a different email address than what is in your AAOS Account/Profile
Another reason you may get the above message is because your AAOS Account/Profile may not be using the same email address that was assigned a User and/or Role Manager role in Code-X. In other words, the account owner for the Code-X subscription or a designated Role Manager for the subscription may have assigned a User and/or Role Manager role to a different email than what you used when creating your AAOS Account/Profile. For example, you may have created your AAOS Account/Profile using your personal email address, but a Role Manager for your subscription may have assigned a role to your organization's email address. Please confirm what email address your subscription's Role Manager has assigned a role to. If you determine that the email address is, in fact, different, then you have 2 options:
1. You can request your organization to change the subscription email address to your personal email address; or
2. You can go into your AAOS Profile and change the primary email address of your profile to your organization's email address. Code-X only recognizes the primary email when you attempt to login. You can keep both your personal and organization's emails in the same AAOS Profile, but the primary email address must be assigned to the email address address that was registered in Code-X.
Reason 3: You incorrectly entered your email address when creating your AAOS Account/Profile
Typos happen. When you created your AAOS Account/Profile as directed you incorrectly entered your email address. For example, you entered your email address with ".com" instead of ".org". Since the email address was entered incorrectly it doesn't match with what was assigned a User and/or Role Manager role by the owner of your Code-X subscription or a designated Role Manager. To resolve this issue simply create a
new AAOS Account/Profile with the correct email address. If you just update your email address in your current AAOS
Account/Profile you still will not be able to login. This is because
Code-X has already created an account for your current AAOS Account with
the incorrect email address and that cannot be overridden. If you have
already updated your email address for the current AAOS
Account/Profile, then you will need to
submit a trouble ticket to
request that your current Code-X account be removed so that you can
login again with the same AAOS Account which now has the correct email
address.
Reason 4: You updated the email address in your AAOS Account/Profile because it didn't match the email in Code-X that was previously assigned a User and/or Role Manager role
You were able to login to the Code-X Web Application before. However, you were requested to change your email address by your Code-X account's Role Manager. After updating the email address in your AAOS Account/Profile you can no longer login. To resolve this issue you will need to
submit a trouble ticket to
request that your current Code-X account be removed so that you can
login again with the same AAOS Account which now has the correct email
address.
