How do I remove, deactivate, replace, rename or transfer users in Code-X 2019 so I can use existing licenses instead of needing to purchase additional licenses?

How do I remove, deactivate, replace, rename or transfer users in Code-X 2019 so I can use existing licenses instead of needing to purchase additional licenses?

In version 2019 of Code-X we provide a self-service way to remove, deactivate, replace, rename and transfer users so that existing licenses can be re-used if you are replacing staff, transferring a user to a new workstation, or you need to re-use a license that was activated accidentally by an administrator user who won't be using the application.

To remove, deactivate or replace a previous or old user (i.e. username) please follow the instructions below:
Please note:  Removing, deactivating or replacing will also automatically delete the old username's Mobile App account if it exists.
1. Login to your workstation as the new user who will be using Code-X with the license activation replacing the license of the previous user (i.e. if you are logged in as the administrator/installer user then make sure to logout first and log back in as the new user to be activated)
2. Launch Code-X on the workstation of this new user (we're assuming it's already installed)
3. If you get prompted to auto-activate your copy of Code-X, please cancel/ignore the auto-activate prompt
4. When you are presented with the Activation Screen do the following:
a. Make sure that the correct username is displayed in the Logged-In Username box (i.e. make sure the username is not for the administrator user).  If the incorrect username is displayed then please close Code-X, logout of your workstation and then log back in as the correct user/username and launch Code-X again then verify that the correct username is displayed in the Logged-In Username box.
b. Enter your parent activation code in the first box on this screen (a parent code begins either with the letter P or N)
c. Select the Replace Old Username option radio button as the activation action
d. Enter the username of the user who is being replaced in the Old Username box.  For example, if you were trying to replace the administrator user then you would enter "administrator" here with the assumption that the administrator activated using the username "administrator".
e. Press the Activate Program button
5. If all is successful you should get a success message mentioning which user was replaced and any additional activations/licenses should not have been used
Please note:  If you don't remember or know the Old Username to be replaced, you can request a list of license details, including a list of previously activated usernames, by doing the following:
1. Select "Application Settings" from "Tools"  from the Code-X top menu
2. Click on the button Send License Details to Activated E-mail Address to send an email with the license details.  The email will be sent to the email address that was entered when Code-X was activated. If the email doesn't show up in your inbox please be sure to check your spam/junk folder in case it got tagged as spam.   You may also want to whitelist the following email address to ensure delivery:
code-x_2019_activations@codex2019.codexlite.org
3. If you get an error that an email address could not be found then please click on the link below to create a trouble ticket to request that an email be added to your license.  When submitting the ticket please be sure to include your organization name, your parent P or N Code and the email address that you want registered:

To rename or transfer a user please follow the instructions below:
Please note:  Renaming or transferring will allow you to keep that old username's Mobile App account intact if it exists. In other words, the new username will "take over" the old username's Mobile App account.
